Honorees

I'd like to use this space to pay homage to those who are currently living with cancer as well as those heroes who so bravely fought for their lives.  In addition to being honored on this page, I will submit their information directly to TNT to be included as an honoree team member.  Please email me at joylvsu@yahoo.com with a picture and the following information: Name, Age/Birthday, City/State, and Type of Cancer (you can also include their relationship to you if you would like.)

I invite you all to please include all honorees and their families in your daily prayers....

Ina L Porter
Age 63
San Diego, CA.
Ina is an amazing woman of faith that lives for the love of her husband and four children, one of whom is my good friend Autrey (pic to the left.)  All that know Ina admire her for her kindness and strength.  Ina was diagnosed in mid-October 2009 with Acute Myloid Leukemia and was in the hospital until early December. In late Dec she was told that the cancer was in remission and she was able to go home for Christmas.  Ina continued to receive rounds of chemo and blood transfusions from time to time because this type of cancer can come back quickly. The doctors have also suggested that she get a bone marrow transplant.  All four of her children are matches, but only 50%.

UPDATE:  Ina began having involuntary spasms in her left arm in mid March of 2010.  She immediately went to the hospital, where they performed an MRI and found a spot on her brain. After a second MRI, they took a biopsy of her frontal lobe and the results showed that a blood vessel had burst in her brain.  They also found Leukemia cells.
She is in the hospital in San Diego undergoing another round of chemotherapy.
